About Dylan

Hi, I’m Dylan Travis, a game designer focused on creating engaging gameplay systems, levels, and memorable encounters. I’m especially interested in progression systems, player-driven mechanics, enemy AI, and boss encounters that give players meaningful choices and rewarding challenges.

My approach to design has been shaped by years of playing MMOs, RPGs, TTRPGs, and strategy-focused games. Experiences with games like World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy XIV, Skyrim, Elden Ring, Dark Souls, and Pathfinder have given me a strong interest in how systems, environments, and encounters work together to shape the player experience.

I’m currently completing my bachelor’s degree in game design at Full Sail University, with graduation expected in December 2026, while building playable projects in Unreal Engine 5. My work has included gameplay systems, level design, AI behavior, combat encounters, and general gameplay prototyping. I enjoy taking an idea from concept to implementation and iterating on it until it feels intuitive, engaging, and rewarding to play.

My primary development experience is in Unreal Engine 5, where I work with Blueprints, C++, the Gameplay Ability System, AI, gameplay systems, and level design tools.
